Twin cities

The twin city alliance agreements developed in Europe after World War II with the aim of connecting the residents of Europe and bringing about a better understanding between the nations.

In the early 60's of the twentieth century, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion supported an idea that gain momentum and encouraged mayors to create alliances and friendship agreements with various cities around the world.

The municipality of Nahariya has international relations that include relations with twin cities and various organizations around the world.

The relationship between Nahariya and our twin cities is reflected in various areas such as: exchanges of youth delegations, Joint projects of education, culture and sports, participation in international seminars and sharing knowledge of urban issues and challenges we all face with.
